1. Who We Are

Wallet Split is a personal finance and bill-splitting app developed by QRS Labs. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@qrslabs.uk.

2. What We Collect

Account info: name, email address, and profile photo.
Financial data: account balances, transactions, budgets, and expense splits you create.
Device info: device token for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
Usage data: basic app activity to improve the product.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and operate the Wallet Split service.
To send you push notifications, email reminders, and debt alerts you have opted into.
To calculate and display group expense splits and debt settlements.
To improve app performance and fix bugs.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on a private server. Profile photos and bill receipts are stored on Backblaze B2 cloud storage. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google): push notifications and app analytics.
Backblaze B2: image and file storage.
Cloudflare: network routing and DDoS protection.
PostHog: product analytics to analyze user interaction and improve the app.

Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@qrslabs.uk and we will respond within 7 days.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All API communication is encrypted via HTTPS. JWT tokens expire and are rotated via refresh tokens.

8. Children

Wallet Split is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
